More recently I have created two hare puppets, for authors Jacqui and Phil Lovesey, for their series of books about ‘Matlock The Hare’. ‘Matlock’ and ‘Ursula’ are two of the main characters from the books, and I worked from the wonderful book illustrations, to bring them to life. I also created their ‘familiars’.
These hares were needle felted, using British wool fibres, and have been used in publicity shots and videos. They have magnets in their paws, so they can pick up items, and have animation wire skeleton frames, so they can be posed. I loved this commission! www.matlockthehare.com
