The material I am drawn to right now, is wire. It is a harder material than cloth, it can act like a thread, be woven, sculpted, but its tensile strength means it holds its shape more easily

In April 2010, I met James Richardson, director of Angel Heart Theatre, a puppet theatre company who create their own stories and produce and perform original shows,.
I have created two hare puppets, for authors Jacqui and Phil Lovesey, for their series of books about ‘Matlock The Hare’. ‘Matlock’ and ‘Ursula’ are two of the main characters.
Serena Hassan, author of ‘The Tap Dancing Pigeon of Covent Garden’ commissioned me to make her a needle felted and embroidered version of the beautifully illustrated Pigeon.
As both a painter and textile artist, I find my textile works are very painterly and my paintings have a textural depth and quality to them. I make work for exhibitions and commissions.
